About Caprio Custom Construction

Caprio Custom Construction has been building custom homes in Fort Lauderdale for generations. We’re family-owned, which means the people making decisions on your project are the same people you’ll talk to directly — no corporate layer, no handoffs.

Our roots in Fort Lauderdale run deep. Decades of building along these waterways has given us an understanding of the land, the climate, and the character of this city that directly shapes how we approach every project.

Building a custom home is a big undertaking. We keep the process straightforward — you’ll always know where things stand, who’s responsible, and what’s coming next.

Michael Caprio

Michael Caprio

Owner, Executive Director

Michael Caprio’s career in construction began as a form carpenter, learning the trade under the mentorship of his father and developing a hands-on understanding of how exceptional homes are built from the ground up. That foundation in the field shaped both his approach to building and the standards that continue to define Caprio Custom Construction today.

Over the course of his career, Michael progressed from craftsman to Master Builder, developing experience across every stage of the custom homebuilding process. As Owner and Executive Director, he leads the company’s overall vision and direction while remaining closely involved in its projects, clients, and construction teams.

Michael’s approach combines traditional craftsmanship with modern construction practices, thoughtful problem-solving, and an uncompromising attention to detail. He believes the best custom homes are the result of strong relationships between the owner, architect, designer, builder, and trades—all working toward a shared vision.

Rooted in a family tradition of building, Michael continues to lead Caprio Custom Construction with a focus on craftsmanship, accountability, and the delivery of exceptional custom homes throughout South Florida.
